We strive to make UBC an employer of choice for outstanding faculty and staff.
What have we accomplished?
- Launched our eRecruit online recruiting system for faculty and staff recruiting at the university.
- The university opened new daycare centres in Vancouver.
- We promote online orientations for faculty and staff, as well as continue to welcome new faculty and staff to the UBC campuses with university-wide in-person orientation sessions.
- We launched the Work-Life Relocation Services Centre at the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.
- Launched a new careers site and began advertising positions more widely including LinkedIn.
What are we doing?
- Developing a mentoring program for new faculty.
- Focusing on providing resources and tools to support more strategic recruiting across UBC.
- Building a community of practice focused on proactive recruiting practices.
